How do i put a password on a microsoft WORKS wordprocessor document?

I need to password a x-mas list, please make sure the answers are for microsoft works and not for microsoft word.

Works doesn't allow you to password protect a document, but there are programs that will allow you to password protect a file through Windows. Here are two freeware options:

Reply:As far as I know, that's one of the shortcomings of MS Works - you can't. I think it's supposed to make you annoyed with not having this and not having that and deciding to purchase Word...
