I have a Mac so it doesnt come with microsoft office. Ive downloaded the trail version, but i guess Ive exceeded the number of trials because it doesnt work on my computer anymore. I need it for school, but its too expensive to buy.
Is there any way I can download microsoft office or powerpoint for free?
You can download a 60 day trial from Microsoft.

There is also OpenOffice. Its a free Office Suite in the opensource community. It is a very mature product.

OpenOffice Contains
Writer – Word Equivalent.
Calc – Excel Equivalent.
Impress – PowerPoint Equivalent
Draw
Base – Access Equivalent
Math
Reply:You could try file sharing, but that would be illegal. It's free, though.
If you want, you could get iWork, which is the Mac equivalent of Microsoft Office (for a fraction of the cost), and they claim that iWork is completely compatible with any Microsoft Office file you could throw at it. Not only that, but iWork also creates better looking and flashier documents, far better than what you could attain in Word or Publisher. The only problem is, it only has three core applications: Pages (Word and Publisher), Keynote (Powerpoint), and Numbers (Excel). Sorry, no Access equivalent.
We also have Open Source software, like OpenOffice (http://www.openoffice.org). It has everything you would need, like a Powerpoint, Word, Access and Excel equivalent, as well as more features.
We also have GNOME Office (which includes AbiWord, similar to Microsoft Word)
Finally, there are several more Office suites with varying degrees of compatibility and price. Here is a more comprehensive list from Wikipedia.

Reply:I got a different solution.
Try OpenOffice. It is FREE, and the same exact thing. Trust me.
Openoffice, is free, and it is compared to Microsoft Office. It has little more features than office.
Seriously, try it out.
