I made brochures with another year of microsoft publisher but I don't remember which one. I currently have the 97 year and it is telling me that it can't open files from a different year. Is there any way I can save my old projects.

It sounds to me that the other files may have been made with a newer version, since MS products are almost always backwards compatible. I am unsure if this will work, but it is free and worth trying. http://www.openoffice.org This is a free Office Suite that is compatible with nearly all versions of MS Office products, and may be with publisher as well.
