How do you retrieve recent files on Microsoft Office Excel if you no longer have the disk you saved them to?

I saved a microsoft office excel spreadsheet to my jump drive. My jump drive has since come up missing and I need the file incredibly badly. It still shows in my recent documents but when I try to open it, a box come up that says the pathway no longer exists. Is there a way to retrieve the file? Thanks

It is not there at all. It is still on your missing drive. There is no way to get it back unless you recover the drive.
Reply:No way!
Reply:You are out of luck unless you find you drive.
