When you get the RRoD does Microsoft replace the Motherboard and Cables?

I get my Xbox back from repairs for an E74 error and turn it on. When I turn it on it has the RRoD. Does the E74 link with the RRoD or is Microsoft horrible at fixing things? Thanks in advance and I will be selecting a best answer not the community.

I belive they are usually replacing your broken consoles with a *repaired , referbished console* so next time you send your system in ... mark your xbox with a marker or something... then when you return in it shouldnt have the marker your had put on it..
Reply:i think that they do depending on the situation if it is the hard drive and cables they will replace them but if its something else and the hard drive and cables are still working perfectly i think they will just fix the problem and send you back your hard drive and cables. i think they do this because there would be no point in taking all of your data from your harddrive if its working fine and it would be a waste of money if they replace perfectly fine cables hope this helps
