when im on the microsoft website and try to download a free trial of microsoft office 2007, i then have to fill in a form, it is based in the U.S.A and it wont accept were i live as its not in the U.S.A and there is not the uk on the country list, how do i do it?

Reply:Microsoft are a real pain sometimes. If you want word processing etc try Openoffice.org you can download their latest for free and keep it - no charge. I have been using it over a year.
Microsoft often deny non-USA users access to their latest programs on line. They want us to all go out and buy an expensive disc at PC-World with whom they have done a deal so we end up paying more.
There's plenty of Microsoft stuff on disc but difficult to get in UK. Nearest outside USA is usually Canada.
Why do Microsoft treat us Brits so badly?
