On microsoft works processor, why does my spacebar delete letter when i try to make a space?

On microsoft works processor when i hit the spacebar it deletes the letter in front of it. Example How*space*re you?


Its becoming a problem as i'm using the program for my essays and work etc. Anyone know how to solve it?

After reading all the answers, I deduce that you hit the "Insert" key.
Reply:Lol dude Insert is on!! press insert to turn it off!
Reply:It looks as if you may be in Overwrite mode, rather than Insert Mode.





First thing to try is press the 'Insert' key once - Insert is in the group of 6 keys above the arrow keys.





If that does not work, enter 'Insert mode' in the search box.





Hope you are now able to fix this annoyance!

press it again and it'll quit.
Reply:You may have accidentally hit the insert button press it again and it will stop deleting the letter in front. The button will say Ins on it.
Reply:You've hit the "Insert" button on your keyboard. Press it again to fix the problem.
