I want to start a diary and write my life story on microsoft word, but I don't want just anyone to come to my computer and be able to open up word and read it.
How can i save a ongoing microsoft word document and keep it from others reading it?

Reply:When saving the document you can password protect it. Click on the 'File' menu and choose 'Save As'. In the 'Save As' dialogue box click on 'Tools' and choose 'General Options'. At the bottom you should see 'Password to open' where you can enter a password which must be entered anytime the document is opened in future. Click OK when finished. I recommend that you use a password that you are unlikely to forget as you want to be able to get back into the document yourself if you leave off writing it for a while!
Reply:You need to password protect it!
In addition if you have a USB flash memory drive you have a free 25 MB encrypted drive.
