How helpful is a Microsoft Certification ?

I'm doing my Bachelors in Computer Engineering....n im planning to do Masters in the same.....Will a Microsoft Certification be really useful for me in my career ? Like do i get a well-paid job if im a microsoft certified professional ?

How helpful is a Microsoft Certification ?
A Microsoft Certification is a lot like a Bachelors Degree in a job search. It will not necessarily get you a job but there are certain jobs where if you do not have one then you will be at a strong disadvantage. If you work in Computer Engineering it is probably not a bad thing to have even for your own enrichment. The wider your base of skills are the more useful you will be in a job environment and that leads to higher job security and pay.
Reply:It's only useful if you have some work experience to go along with the cert- if you have some good internships, that might be enough work experience. "Paper certs" are not worth very much because no one knows how you will actually peform under pressure, and you may have to support equipment and software from other vendors. Good luck...

BTW, a Microsoft cert is nowhere near as valuable in the workplace as a BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, let alone EE.
