You can store scaned picture and then if you want it to be in microsoft word then you can click on insert and picture and browse that particulare picture.
Reply:well you can say insert picture browse for that picture and add it in word but if your picture has text and you want to work on it seach for "abbyy fine reader" any version willl do 7.0 is a good one . open the image read it and trasfer it to word .
