How do you save your work as a word document if you don't have Microsoft Word?

I am taking an online class and had to submit my work to my professor as an attachment. She said she couldn't open it and to save it as a word document. How to I do that if I have Office writer, and not Microsoft Word?

How do you save your work as a word document if you don't have Microsoft Word?
File, Save As, and instead of OpenOffice Document, choose Word Document (.doc). ((You'll find it))
Reply:As mentioned above, OpenOffice is your best (and cheapest) bet. Tell your teacher about it too so she will wise up and stop spending her money for bloated, crappy software.

Reply:Send her one in Office Writer format. You can't make a word document file w/o word. My only other advice would be to put it in a text document or go to someone who has word. Hope this helps!
Reply:I don't think you can. Instead, try ending it as a Notepad document, or save it as a webpage.
Reply:How do you not have Microsoft? Most windows computers come with microsoft works. I find that hard to believe that you dont have Microsoft Word...anyway... use notepad.
