I used to know how to make calenders on microsoft word. I know how to use the table and set that up. Though i do not know how many rows and columns to use.

You can get Calendar templates from Microsoft. Go into Help in Word and search for Calendar. If the Help system can connect to the internet, it should give a options for various template files that you can download for different calendars (click the link in the Help list for a preview).
In Word 2003 there is also the option to insert a calendar object (on the Insert menu, choose Object and select the Calendar Control option). That seems to insert an object that could act as an interactive date selector.
